Mary Jo Asmus Receives International Credential

Kalamazoo, MI: Mary Jo Asmus, president of Aspire Collaborative Services, LLC, was recently credentialed by the International Coach Federation.

One of only 10 professional coaches in Michigan to be so recognized, the accreditation process requires submission of documented coaching hours and training through an ICF accredited program. It also requires reference letters from two master-certified coaches who have observed Asmus coaching, and passing an oral examination that demonstrates coaching competency.

"Mary Jo knows how business works and is able to quickly establish rapport and credibility with senior managers. In her niche of coaching, she must often deal with difficult and potentially public scenarios. Mary Jo is able to remain neutral, ethical and at the same time provide the right support to these public administrators", said Roberta Hill, Master Certified Coach, of Ward-Green and Hill Associates. Ltd., who submitted one of Asmus' letters of recommendation.

A nonprofit organization, the International Coach Federation is the largest worldwide resource for business and personal coaches. Its mission is to build, support and preserve the integrity of the coaching profession through programs and standards.

Asmus garnered her executive expertise through a broad range of corporate roles during her 25 -year career with the Upjohn Company, Pharmacia Corporation and Pfizer. That experience includes leadership roles in human resources; research and development; organizational development; and global business strategy. She is a public speaker on topics related to leadership and the use of coaching skills in the workplace and is a founding member and President-elect of the Professional Coaches Association of Michigan, a chartered chapter of the International Coach Federation.

Aspire Collaborative Services' clients are CEO's, senior executives, and high potential executives with a public presence who desire to improve their leadership capability through confidential Executive Coaching, assessment, and action planning.
